Qualifications

• 5+ years inpatient coding experience with DRG analysis.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.
• Eligible remote states include NC, FL, GA, SC, SD, TN, TX and VA.

Responsibilities

• Perform coding for inpatient encounters and DRG assignment.
• Abstract medical records and ensure timely, accurate data capture for reimbursement and statistics.
• Serve as liaison between coders and CDS team on coding and documentation issues.
• Review SMART accounts daily as assigned.
