Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Senior Inpatient DRG Coder for a full-time remote role. You will identify ICD-10 CM/PCS and DRG assignments for facility services, maintain coding quality and participate in educational events from anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities include chart review data abstraction, physician queries as needed, and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and AHIMA/AAPC ethics. Strong Windows, Excel and EMR skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Professional coder certification (AHIMA or AAPC) required.
• 3+ years inpatient DRG coding experience in acute care.
• 3+ years ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding experience.
• Proficient in Windows and Excel; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate coding assignments for ICD-10 CM/PCS, DRG and abstraction for facility services.
• Maintain up-to-date coding knowledge and adhere to ethical standards (AAPC/AHIMA).
• Abstract additional data and query physicians when necessary during chart reviews.
