Qualifications

• 7+ years inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience with revenue cycle processes and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI).
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate codes.
• Adheres to Official Coding Guidelines and regulations using EMR and/or coding software.
• Codes high-dollar and long-stay cases and supports DRG reconciliation.
• Acts as a subject matter expert for coding policies and government regulations.
