Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Senior Manager, RVAP Innovation to lead the innovation pipeline for the Tyson brand and assigned brands. You will influence senior leaders across BU, R&D, Culinary, Insights, Supply Chain, SS&P, Operations, Finance and Strategy to drive growth through innovation and deliver on profit, volume and share objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or BBA preferred.
• Minimum 6+ direct Product Innovation or Marketing experience.
• Excellent knowledge of innovation, marketing strategy, strategic business analysis, financial planning and market research fundamentals.
• Demonstrated success in leveraging consumer knowledge and insights to drive business results.
• Experience reporting to senior executives.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
• A highly motivated leader with the ability to devise an excellent solution in unstructured situations.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Strong collaborator with demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the innovation pipeline and strategies for RVAP to meet long-range and annual goals.
• Lead development and execution of product and packaging innovation projects from concept to in-market performance.
• Collaborate with PMO and cross-functional teams to advance projects.
• Act as liaison with corporate functions to focus on business initiatives.
• Identify growth opportunities using syndicated research, primary market research, and competitive intelligence.
• Develop meaningful consumer positioning and communicate product advantages.
• Work with insights/R&D to identify ideas and optimize offerings to meet consumer/operator needs and outperform competitors.
• Partner with sales, analytics, and marketing to understand forecast accuracy and maximize opportunities to deliver BU objectives.
• Leverage synergies across retail and foodservice channels to scale ideas.
• Ensure Stagegate process compliance and supporting systems.
