The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Classification Officer at the Charlotte Correctional Institution to lead inmate classification and management within the Classification Department.

Qualifications

• Two years of Classification Officer experience.
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and unscheduled assessments to track inmate progress and set goals.
• Plan targeted referrals for treatment, programs, work and services.
• Evaluate information sources to make informed inmate-management decisions.
• Maintain accurate inmate records in OBIS and other applications.
• Lead disciplinary hearings and custody/reclassification reviews; manage gain time awards.
