Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep a fast-moving plastics operation running smoothly in Salt Lake City. You will install machinery, interpret schematics, and commission assets to full operability.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC faults, perform repairs, and participate in PMs to maximize uptime. Forklift and conduit work are part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school; or 2–3 years related machining/maintenance experience; or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Read and interpret electrical prints/schematics; safety procedures for working with 24 VDC/24 VAC to 480V 3‑phase.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC faults and perform precise adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Machine installation: interpret blueprints/diagrams, set equipment, run utilities to point-of-use, and commission assets.
• Preventive & routine care: support PMs and routine upkeep to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshooting & repair: diagnose faults, replace worn components, and improve safety.
• Operations support: operate manufacturing equipment to stabilize throughput.
