Job summary
Mechanical Rubber Texas in Brenham, TX is seeking a hands-on Lead for plastic injection molding. You will run machines, perform mold changes, troubleshoot, and lead a small crew while keeping production moving and quality high.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in plastic injection molding, prior lead experience or readiness to step into a lead role, and strong communication. This is a one-shift, 7:00 am–3:30 pm position with competitive pay.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on plastic injection molding experience.
- Previous lead experience or readiness to step into a lead role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical ability.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run plastic injection molding machines
- Perform mold changes, startups, and process adjustments
- Troubleshoot machine, mold, material, and part issues
- Lead and support operators during daily production
- Make sure parts meet quality requirements
- Watch cycle times, scrap, and overall production flow
- Train operators on proper setup, operation, and safety
- Work with maintenance and supervisors to fix issues fast
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Complete basic production and quality paperwork
