Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the home infusion pharmacy team. You will plan, organize, and direct safe pharmacy services for our patients in alignment with policies and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate with nursing, delivery and reimbursement, manage budgets, and mentor staff to meet operational and financial goals for the location. Strong leadership and compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacy license as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• At least 5 to 7 years in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting OR 3 years plus ASHP residency or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience directly managing people.
• At least 2 years of experience planning and managing departmental budgets.

Responsibilities

• Determines suitability of patients for home care.
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of patient care by pharmacy staff.
• Manages daily operations and communications within the department.
• Directs activities of the pharmacy department.
• Schedules work activities to meet patient pharmaceutical-care needs.
• Develops staff through onboarding, training and performance management.
• Oversees budgeting, purchasing, inventory and equipment management.
• Assists the General Manager with budgeting and expenditures within guidelines.
• Ensures medications and supplies are managed per policy and formulary guidelines.
• Provides education to sales and accounts about available services.
• Meets with managed care organizations to discuss services.
• May serve as Office Administrator with Nursing leadership when needed.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
