Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Engineer IV in Network Access within GN&T Network Security. You will design, deploy, and operate Jumphosts, partnering with senior engineers to translate business needs into scalable security solutions.

You will build a centralized, highly available platform, monitor KPIs, and collaborate across teams to ensure reliability and security across the network. Hybrid work model with US-based locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Deep knowledge of networking and network security.
• Proven experience with Linux and security-focused IT/Net work environments.

Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture: translate complex requirements into specs and designs.
• Platform Implementation: build and maintain a highly available Jumphost platform.
• Subject Matter Expertise: act as SME across Network Security and related units.
• Deployment & Integration: deploy and validate new hardware/software with secure integration.
• Performance Monitoring: track KPIs for platform performance and resiliency.
