Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Engineer IV in Network Access, hybrid work with multiple US hub locations. The role focuses on Jumphosts within Network Security, delivering design, deployment, and ongoing platform operations.

You’ll collaborate across teams to translate requirements into reliable, scalable solutions. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in networking/security, strong Linux knowledge, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of work experience.
Deep knowledge of networking and network security.
Strong knowledge of Linux environment.
Experience planning, building, and running network security solutions.
Proven leadership skills and business acumen within a large organization.
Experience building relationships across business units.

Responsibilities

Design & Architecture: Translate complex business requirements into functional specs and designs.
Platform Implementation: Build and maintain a highly available Jumphost platform.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a technical SME within Network Security and broader business units.
Deployment & Integration: Deploy, configure, and validate new hardware and software, ensuring secure integration.
Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and capacity, address scalability and resiliency needs.
