Job summary

Verizon seeks a senior Infrastructure & Cloud Security Engineer to lead governance, automation, and strategic security initiatives within Global Infrastructure & App Security. You will partner with Cybersecurity, GNT, and GTS teams to protect the network and enable safe digital transformation.

The role demands designing security controls, mentoring engineers, and delivering executive metrics. Hybrid work includes home and three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience in information security or network tech.
• Experience with security governance, risk analysis, and incident response.
• Experience with scripting for automation and data parsing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Automate governance reporting dashboards and maturity models.
• Support design of GTS On-Prem Network, Data centers and Cloud environments.
• Identify gaps and drive process improvements for security protections.
• Develop security awareness, training, and compliance programs.
