Job summary

City of New Orleans Government seeks an Infrastructure Project Manager I to plan, direct, and coordinate designated projects ensuring goals are met within priorities and funding constraints. You will manage activities through the project management cycle and uphold department guidelines.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field (or a Master's) and four years of relevant experience, plus PMP certification with two additional years of PM experience.

Qualifications

• Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager I with two years of experience in that job classification.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field, or a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
• Four years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.
• Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by PMI and two additional years of project management experience earned after PMP.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, and funding conditions.
• Infrastructue Project Managers ensure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems.
