Job summary

City of New Orleans Government seeks an Infrastructure Project Manager I to plan, direct, and coordinate designated projects ensuring goals are met within priorities and funding constraints. You will manage activities through the project management cycle and uphold department guidelines.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field (or a Master's) and four years of relevant experience, plus PMP certification with two additional years of PM experience.

Qualifications

• Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager I with two years of experience in that job classification.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field, or a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
• Four years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.
• Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by PMI and two additional years of project management experience earned after PMP.

Job description

Infrastructure Project Managers insure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems; and related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Promotional)

• Permanent status as an Infrastructure Project Manager I and two years of experience in that job classification.
• (Entrance) A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, Information Technology, Geology, Chemistry, Biology or related field. or A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field
• Four (4) years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.
• Possession of a current Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) issued by the Project Management Institute and two additional years of project management experience earned after the receipt of a PMP Certification.
