Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a strategic platform leader for core infrastructure. The role focuses on high-availability, fault-tolerant systems, resiliency, modernization, and executive-level guidance across enterprise environments.

The Senior Chief Engineer will define roadmaps, governance, and budgets while overseeing incident response, capacity planning, and vendor management in a large, regulated financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• 10+ years delivering software-based solutions for mission-critical enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for HP NonStop and Stratus platforms.
• Develop long-term hardware, software, resiliency, and modernization strategies.
• Establish platform standards, governance, and operational controls.
• Ensure continuous availability, performance, and resiliency for all environments.
• Lead incident, problem and root-cause analysis in production operations.
• Manage hardware refreshes, OS upgrades, capacity, and technology currency.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, MIS, engineering, computer science, mathematics, any science, or equivalent work experience
