Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer - Infrastructure in San Mateo, CA to lead hardware bring-up, validation, and optimization for large-scale server platforms. You will collaborate across vendor teams and internal groups to ensure high reliability, performance, and cost efficiency in production deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware engineering or infrastructure validation, with BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or CS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware engineering, system architecture or infra validation experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux server environments and data center technologies.
• Experience debugging kernel logs, hardware registers, and bus-level traces/captures.
• Familiarity with GPU platforms or AI accelerators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware bring-up, validation, and production support across platforms.
• Optimize platform integration, performance characterization, and power/thermal efficiency.
• Develop and execute stress-testing strategies for server platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors and internal teams across kernels, drivers, and firmware.
