Job summary

Roblox is seeking a hardware engineering specialist to help scale our server platforms and validate next-generation hardware for a high-availability, data-centered infrastructure. You will participate in bring-up, validation, and fleet optimization across compute and memory subsystems, with a focus on reliability and performance in production-scale workloads.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in hardware engineering, deep Linux server knowledge, and hands-on debugging of kernel-level issues.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hardware engineering, system architecture, or infrastructure validation experience.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or CS.
• Strong Linux-based server and data center knowledge.
• Experience debugging kernel logs and hardware traces.

Responsibilities

• Drive hardware bring-up, validation, and production support.
• Perform platform integration, performance characterization, and debugging.
• Develop stress-testing strategies for server platforms.
• Support BIOS/BMC firmware qualification and automation tooling.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to investigate failures.
