Job summary

Webcor is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating team for infrastructure and heavy civil projects. The role involves quantity take-offs, bid package preparation, subcontractor coordination, and collaboration with owners, architects, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost control.

The position requires extensive knowledge of construction costs, design review participation, and experience with negotiated bids and GMP processes. Strong leadership and market relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically, minimum ten years of diversified estimating and construction experience.
• Experience with civil infrastructure projects preferred; water/ wastewater, substations, mass transit, and campus utilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating team to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and apply unit costs.
• Invite subcontractors to submit pricing using approved contractor list.
• Review documents for negotiated and bid projects; define work scope.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, subcontractors, and Webcor staff.
• Develop conceptual estimates at a strategic level and support design meetings.
• Maintain and update master subcontractor lists; advise on cost-saving opportunities.
