Job summary

Aecon seeks a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation and execution planning for complex construction projects, including MEP, civil, and architectural packages.

Under the Director of Estimating, you will drive detailed budgets, quantity takeoffs, pricing with vendors and subcontractors, and bid analysis, with remote work option available. This role emphasizes robust project controls, accurate cost compilation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/ Diploma in Engineering or Project Management or equivalent
• 5–8 years estimating experience on medium to large construction projects
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering
• Proficient in estimating software and MS Office
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews for MEP, Civil and Architectural packages
• Create sketches, drawings and specs to meet client requirements
• Drive detailed cost budgets for bid projects
• Maintain historical cost data for future estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and unit pricing using estimating software
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and scopes of work
• Support turnover meetings with Project Management and site visits as needed
