Zusammenfassung

Commerce is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate infrastructure across on-prem data centers and cloud, including GCP and AWS, with hands-on operations background and leadership scope.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction for infrastructure, and own systems that scale global operations while migrating tooling to IaC and enhancing observability.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with on-prem hardware management.
• Deep Linux administration at scale (Red Hat/Debian).
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, load balancing, traffic).
• Proven automation with Ansible, Puppet or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling and automation.
• Production experience with GCP, AWS, and IAM.
• Ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor engineers.
• Experience migrating on-prem workloads to public cloud is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and operate large-scale, multi data center infrastructure across on-prem, GCP, and AWS.
• Lead automation of deployment and configuration management (IaC).
• Design and maintain traffic management, load balancing, and DNS systems.
• Build and operate monitoring and observability across environments.
• Develop tooling for distributed, auditable systems administration.
• Write and maintain documentation for the infrastructure organization.
