Friday Harbor is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to help scale our AI-native mortgage platform in the US. You will shape cloud-native architecture, lead migrations, and own systems that are observable, secure, and reliable.

Work with an engineering team focused on infrastructure, platform, and cost efficiency, embracing on-call duties and quick incident recovery. The role is US remote with equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure, platform, SRE, or related engineering role.
• Experience operating Kubernetes for substantial workloads.
• Strong cloud fundamentals and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Ability to design infrastructure, plan migrations, and own production reliability.

Responsibilities

• Evolve production infrastructure, define architecture, and lead migrations toward cloud-native deployment.
• Build foundations for running AI workloads: environments, isolation, scheduling, and resource utilization.
• Make production understandable and reliable with observability for performance, capacity, and cost.
• Develop infrastructure as code, deployment workflows, and practical defaults for engineers.
