Job summary

The French Sourcer, a remote-first AI-native fintech, seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to help transform mortgage origination for US customers. This role is remote (US hours) with a strong emphasis on reliability, security, and fast delivery.

You'll architect and ship multi-step AI agents, integrate with lending APIs, design scalable AWS infrastructure, and own features end-to-end for enterprise customers. Mentoring engineers and shipping quickly are key expectations.

Qualifications

• 7 to 25 years of full-stack engineering experience, with at least 5 years at Senior level.
• Strong TypeScript depth with complex systems experience.
• Production experience with React, Node/Express (in Docker), GraphQL/Apollo, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and ship multi-step AI agents for mortgage ops workflows.
• Integrate with third-party lending APIs to generate documents and underwriting results.
• Design and launch scalable AWS infrastructure with observability and reliability at scale.
• Work with loan data schemas and ensure security is baked into schemas and endpoints.
• Ship to production rapidly and mentor junior engineers.
