Job summary

Ivo in San Francisco seeks an experienced Infra/DevOps engineer to build and maintain a high-performance, distributed platform. You’ll own multi-cluster deployments across AWS, GCP, and Azure, create internal tooling, and design workload isolation that balances cost, performance, and reliability.

You’ll drive security invisibly with RBAC and secret management, define real SLOs, and own CI/CD pipelines with Pulumi/Terraform and Docker environments.

Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes knowledge with multi-region deployments.
• IaC and CI/CD are second nature; Terraform/Pulumi and Docker used across clusters.
• Experience building reliable, scalable infra for complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-cluster, multi-region deployments across AWS/GCP/Azure with failover.
• Develop internal tools to automate cluster provisioning and env management.
• Design workload isolation strategies balancing cost, performance, reliability.
• Make security invisible: RBAC, secrets, data residency, audit trails.
• Define realistic SLOs and hold teams accountable to them.
• Own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and IaC tooling (Pulumi/Terraform).
• Maintain consistent Docker environments across dev/stage/prod.
• Debug end-to-end across APIs, workers, jobs, and frontend builds.
• Lead incident response; write postmortems that drive improvements.
• Push for automations to reduce repetitive toil and accelerate builds.
