Job summary

Career Techniques is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and run our corporate IT infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and lead high-impact projects across servers, storage, and cloud services.

You will implement automation, ensure security integration, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet business objectives while maintaining incident response and disaster recovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an infrastructure engineering role.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure components (networking, storage, cloud, domain services).
• Hands-on VMware estate design, operation and troubleshooting.
• Automation and DevOps tooling experience (Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD).
• Knowledge of IT security principles and building security into designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain corporate infrastructure including servers, storage, domain services, cloud services.
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior engineers.
• Contribute to technology strategy and roadmap.
• Lead infrastructure projects from design to handover.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
• Own incident and problem resolution including root cause analysis.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities and testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in on-call and out-of-hours support as needed.
