Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead endpoint and virtual desktop platforms across a complex IT environment. You will deploy, configure, and support macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Zebra devices, and Windows 365/Nutanix, while optimizing Intune, Jamf, Ivanti Avalanche, Velocity, and Zebra StageNow for secure operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in information technology.
3+ years in endpoint, mobile device, infrastructure engineering, or related field.
Experience with enterprise endpoint OS and management platforms across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android; VDI including Windows 365 and Nutanix.
Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell; Bash or Python.
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CMDB governance, asset lifecycle management, security baselines, RCA, and clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

Engineer, configure, deploy, and support enterprise endpoint and virtual desktop platforms (macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Zebra devices, printers, Windows 365/Nutanix).
Administer and optimize endpoint management platforms (Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Ivanti Avalanche, Velocity, Zebra StageNow).
Develop and maintain automation/configuration-as-code using PowerShell and Bash or Python; GitHub and Actions."
Maintain security baselines, configuration standards, and compliance controls across endpoint platforms; lifecycle governance.
Monitor platform health, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, escalate significant incidents.
Document standards, procedures, lifecycle processes, and automation routines for repeatable engineering.
Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, identity, operations, and vendor teams to implement integrated solutions.
