Job summary

Simplesense seeks a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to securely onboard customer facilities into a hybrid‑cloud platform. You will design scalable automation, Linux workflows, and network infrastructure processes spanning edge, on‑prem, and cloud environments.

Collaboration with Connectivity and Engineering teams will be essential to automate provisioning, configuration, validation, maintenance, and sustainment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building infrastructure automation, systems engineering, network infrastructure, or platform engineering in complex environments.
• Strong experience automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, or lifecycle management using Git workflows, IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, testing, scripting, and code reviews.
• Strong hands‑on Linux experience, network design knowledge, and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of reusable tooling, configuration management, and network infra‑as‑code workflows across customer environments.
• Develop and maintain automation for Linux systems and network appliances, including bootstrapping, secure config, package management, and validation.
• Translate onboarding and sustainment needs into scalable workflows for provisioning, connectivity, configuration, validation, monitoring, upgrades, and sustainment.
• Build automation patterns aligned with zero‑trust, segmentation, access controls, and infrastructure security expectations.
• Break down infra problems into clear designs, implementation plans, and engineering tasks.
• Produce design documentation, implementation guidance, and operational handoff materials; enforce coding standards.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and promote software‑driven provisioning and management.
