Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Arizona) seeks an experienced infrastructure software engineer to design and lead development of tools and services, ensuring governance and resilience across platforms.

You will translate requirements into blueprints, mentor teams, and collaborate with Ops, Database Eng, and Security to improve stability and deploy automation.

This role emphasizes hands-on coding in Java/Spring, Python, OpenShift, and monitoring tools within Agile sprints.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years hands-on experience with application development and web development.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring microservices, React.js, Redis DB, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Python Flask, and Autosys.
• Experience using shared storage and load balancers for application resiliency.
• Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Extensive experience with Shell/Python scripting languages.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and DNT.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting application production issues.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an Agile delivery environment.
• Experience with sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Minimum 5-7+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries, including SQL/Oracle PL/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of advanced database concepts.
• Experience implementing Inventory and Entitlement controls
• Asset Management—ServiceNow/MDH domain knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify root causes of complex production issues
• Strong experience automating container image builds, testing, and deployment to OpenShift
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to review system logs and monitor data to identify performance anomalies

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure tools and services within technical domains according to architectural governance, standards, and policies
• Lead solution development and facilitate deployment of tools and services
• Maintain templates, playbooks, and implementation automation
• Translate application and business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks
• Contribute to functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements
• Review and develop software solutions to address manual, repeatable, or inefficient processes
• Evaluate reference models, blueprints, playbooks, and third-party products for potential adoption
• Mentor infrastructure resources on infrastructure services and application integration validation methods
• Provide engineering design and development support for DDCS and ENVentory applications
• Work with Operations teams on production issue root-cause analysis
• Partner with Database Engineering and Operations teams to improve stability and reliability and introduce new capabilities
• Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment
• Attend daily stand-ups
