Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to lead maintenance, automation, and optimization of critical infrastructure systems. You will design scalable infrastructure solutions, manage cloud migrations, data center consolidations, and hybrid environments.

You will automate routine tasks with Python or JavaScript, perform backups and patch management, monitor performance, and collaborate with security, development, and operations teams to ensure reliability and disaster recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3 years’ experience across compute, storage, network, mobility, or virtualization technologies; OR 5 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across these areas.
• Proven expertise in infrastructure maintenance including backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud migration, data center operations, and hybrid or full cloud setups.
• Proficiency in configuration and version control management.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable infrastructure solutions.
• Familiarity with capacity management and resource optimization.
• Skilled in issue resolution and escalation within complex IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, automation, and optimization of critical infrastructure systems.
• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Manage cloud migrations, data center consolidation, and hybrid environments.

• Perform backups, patch management, and hot fixes.

• Manage system and application configuration, version control, and integrations.
• Collaborate with leadership, security operations, development, and forensic specialists.
• Support dedicated networks and platforms for Information Security Operations, development, and forensic labs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, capacity planning, and integration initiatives.
