Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Cloud/DevOps Manager in Arizona to lead and grow a team of engineers, shaping roadmaps and OKRs with senior staff to drive technical direction. You will mentor engineers and own hiring, focusing on reliability, security, and scalable delivery.

Responsibilities include aligning cross-functional programs, managing stakeholder relationships, and delivering high-quality systems with disaster recovery and chaos engineering focus. Strong leadership and cloud expertise required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 7+ years software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 4+ engineers
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform or similar technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Cloud/DevOps engineers
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development
• Define and communicate team goals, OKRs, and roadmaps
• Partner with staff engineers and architects to set technical direction
• Drive strategic infrastructure initiatives
• Own hiring and team composition, including interviewing, leveling, and onboarding
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and remove blockers
• Drive operational excellence in reliability, security, and delivery
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships
• Translate business needs into engineering workstreams
• Monitor team health, developer experience, and delivery metrics
• Lead cloud infrastructure, tooling, and platform services for Venmo
• Focus on disaster recovery, chaos engineering, and failover game days
