Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Enterprise Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to design, govern, and evolve enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure while aligning with multi-cloud considerations. The role focuses on hybrid architecture, security, and cost optimization across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will lead architecture reviews, guide M&A integration efforts, and mentor engineering teams while communicating technical strategies to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering, architecture, or cloud experience.
• 5+ years architecting enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience leading large-scale on-premises to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and enterprise integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and evolve enterprise Azure cloud architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.
• Lead architecture reviews and approvals through the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
• Define hybrid architecture standards for on-premises, colocation, and Azure interoperability.
• Develop Azure reference architectures and workload placement strategies.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads, translating technology into business terms.
