Socket.dev is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer I to strengthen the security posture of our enterprise and cloud environments, focusing on IAM. You will design, build, and operate IAM/IGA solutions across diverse platforms and drive incident response, while collaborating with teams to align security with business needs.

The role involves cross-functional leadership, developing security documentation, and advancing automated metrics to measure program effectiveness in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, cybersecurity, or related field with 4 years in security engineering.
• Experience in security posture management and incident response.
• Hands-on with IAM systems, authentication/authorization, and directory services.
• Experience with Okta or Microsoft Entra ID and IAM/IGA implementations.
• Experience deploying IAM/IGA in complex enterprise environments.
• Cloud proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Automation skills in Python, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Experience in data security operations and regulatory compliance.
• Developing automated metrics to measure program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance incident and issue response efforts, including analysis, containment, and remediation.
• Craft and refine security documentation such as policies, standards, baselines, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security solutions with business needs.
• Design, build, and operate IAM and IGA solutions across enterprise environments.
