Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer Lead to design and deliver scalable, secure infrastructure across compute, storage, network and virtualization. You will lead architecture decisions, collaborate with application teams and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and risk controls.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted analysis, automation, and drive for operational excellence, resiliency, and strong stakeholder communication in a complex corporate environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering, with proven ownership of solution design and delivery in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with validation and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, ensuring resiliency and security.
• Deep expertise in Windows/Linux, virtualization/containers (e.g., ESXi, VMware), networking, storage and backup/recovery concepts.
• Ability to lead technical design reviews, influence decisions and align stakeholders.
• Strong risk management, resiliency planning (HA/DR), and operational readiness.
• Proficiency with observability stacks, capacity forecasting, and performance engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Solution Design - Lead architecture of compute, storage, network and virtualization platforms.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate analysis and document mitigation options.
• Project Delivery - drive initiatives from concept to production, manage timelines and stakeholders.
• Operational Excellence - establish runbooks, monitoring, capacity planning and incident prevention.
• Risk - identify resiliency gaps, capacity constraints, and security exposures; develop mitigation roadmaps.
• Requirements Translation - turn business needs into engineering designs aligned to roadmaps and guardrails.
• Security & Compliance - apply security-by-design principles, IAM, encryption, patching, auditing.
• Automation & Modernization - promote IaC, automation, and repeatable deployment patterns.
• Collaboration & Communication - partner with teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Leads reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices across delivery and automation.
