Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Infra-red (IR) Systems Integration Engineer SME to support an advanced air platform program and sustain national air dominance. You will lead EO/IR sensor development, integration and testing in complex environments, liaising with government and industry teams.

Role requires 7+ years of related experience, strong communication, MBSE, and an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility. Onsite location with ~20% travel across missions and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or physics field.
• 7+ years of related experience in IR/EO sensor systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for EO/IR sensor development and integration efforts.
• Oversee development, integration and test of EO/IR hardware and software (IRST, image processing).
• Support kill chain analysis and platform integration across mission systems.
• Contribute to requirements, architecture, MBSE, and verification activities.
• Deliver technical briefings to senior technical and leadership audiences.
• Collaborate with government and industry partners on mission capability development.
