Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior/SME Systems Engineer with infrared (IR) experience to support an advanced air platform program focused on EO/IR mission capabilities.

This role provides systems engineering leadership for EO/IR sensor development and integration across platforms, ensuring performance in complex environments. The candidate will apply MBSE practices, support government/industry teams, and deliver technical briefings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of related experience is required.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with EO/IR sensor systems and MBSE is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and systems engineering support for EO/IR sensor development and integration.
• Oversee EO/IR sensor development for mission system applications.
• Test and integrate EO/IR hardware and software, including IRST and image processing.
