Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks an Infra-red Systems Integration Engineer SME to advance EO/IR sensor integration on national defense platforms. The role emphasizes technical leadership across requirements, architecture, integration, and verification in a fast-paced, vault/SCIF setting.

You will lead development and testing efforts, supervise teams, and deliver briefings to senior leadership while collaborating with government and industry partners to enhance mission capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant EO/IR experience.
• Experience supporting EO/IR sensor development and integration.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including briefing senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and systems engineering support for EO/IR sensor development and integration.
• Oversee EO/IR sensor development for mission system applications and testing.
• Lead MBSE and open architecture activities for integration across platforms.
• Develop and deliver technical briefings to diverse audiences including senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with government and industry partners on mission capability development.
