Lockheed Martin in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Senior Research Scientist and Process Integration Engineer to lead process integration for cutting-edge infrared detectors grown by MBE/MOCVD. You will design multi-layer devices, analyze performance, and drive innovation in a high-tech fabrication environment.

Responsibilities include developing etch/deposition modules, coordinating modules, and providing hands-on support in a high-mix cleanroom, with emphasis on band-gap engineering and device

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field; 3+ years experience or 2+ with Master's; or PhD.
• Proven ability to plan and present technical information clearly to key stakeholders.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex engineering problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead process integration and investigations driving infrared detector innovation.
• Develop etch and deposition process modules.
• Coordinate process module integration; create work instructions and process travelers.
• Hands-on support of wafer and die processing in a high-mix cleanroom.
• Design multi-layer semiconductor devices using band-gap engineering.
• Analyze and present device performance against goals.
