Lockheed Martin is seeking an Infrared Sensor Systems Testing and Integration Engineer for our Santa Barbara, CA site. You will design, build, and execute test campaigns validating sensor performance, integrating hardware and software, and supporting production readiness.

You will work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into tested, flight-qualified hardware, using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SQL, Java, or HTML, while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s in a STEM field with 1+ year of experience, or related Master’s, or equivalent.
• Experience coding in a scripting language: MATLAB, C, C++, SQL, Java, HTML, or Python.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, testing hardware and electronics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and probe electronics/circuit cards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain test plans for infrared sensor hardware.
• Set up and operate lab equipment such as function generators, power supplies, temperature controllers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
• Build, modify, and integrate sensor prototypes, including firmware and software drivers.
• Execute functional, environmental, and performance tests; analyze data.
• Automate test sequences and data processing using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SQL, Java, or HTML.
• Generate clear test reports, traceability matrices, and recommendations for design improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support production units by qualifying new builds and updating test documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and suppliers to align with schedule and cost objectives.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
