Job summary

Hex’s infrastructure team owns cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, datastores), CI/CD and observability across multi-tenant and single-tenant environments. Every engineer relies on the infra you build.

We’re growing to tackle impactful projects that accelerate shipping and reliability across the stack. We’re looking for someone to own a project end-to-end, bring strong opinions, and help modernize tooling as Hex evolves.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production infrastructure (on-call)
• Ability to improve teammates and raise team performance
• Strong Kubernetes operations experience
• Solid AWS fundamentals (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM)
• Infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform
• Able to change pipelines, controllers, or services with code
• Clear written communication; runbooks and docs that others can follow

Responsibilities

• Own one or more infra projects from start to finish
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for speed and cost
• Manage lifecycle of multi-tenant stacks and single-tenant deployments
• Scale Postgres and other databases, ensure migrations
• Improve cost visibility and reduce infra spend
• Enhance security posture and isolation, and support compliance
