Job summary

Hex Technologies is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our security team in the United States. You will design, implement, and manage security controls for AWS and Kubernetes, and lead security practices across our cloud-native platform.

You will build infrastructure as code with Terraform, conduct threat modeling, embed security into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while aligning with standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.

Qualifications

• Experience securing AWS cloud environments and Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficient in threat modeling, security assessments, and CI/CD security integration.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving in security engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for AWS and Kubernetes.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure as code.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and audits of cloud infra.
• Embed security practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Monitor, respond to cloud security incidents, and drive remediation.
• Provide expertise on SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS compliance.
• Mentor engineers and advocate for cloud security across the org.
