The University of Pennsylvania’s Information Systems & Computing organization seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead backup, data protection, storage, and virtual server services. You will design, implement, and optimize Cohesity-based systems while supporting Veeam, Rubrik, and NetApp technologies.

You will collaborate across networking, cloud, cybersecurity, and applications teams, drive automation, and mentor other engineers to improve reliability and resilience of Penn’s enterprise

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible enterprise infrastructure experience; 10 years preferred.
• Extensive experience in backup and data protection technologies (Cohesity, Veeam, Rubrik).
• Experience with enterprise storage (NetApp) and virtualization (VMware/Nutanix).
• Ability to design, troubleshoot, and lead complex infrastructure initiatives and mentor others.

• Serve as a senior engineer for backup and data protection; design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize platforms.
• Develop backup policies, retention strategies, recovery procedures, and data protection standards.
• Support disaster recovery, cyber-recovery, data resiliency, and regular recovery testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable services and mentor junior staff.
