Job summary

Assured Data Protection is seeking a Senior Service Delivery & Support Engineer in the DC metro area. The role combines technical ownership for customer onboarding, managed backup/recovery operations, escalated support, and day-to-day service delivery.

The ideal candidate has deep enterprise backup/recovery experience, Rubrik proficiency, and can operate across onboarding, architecture, troubleshooting, recovery, VMware, networking, and secure remote administration.

Qualifications

Significant hands-on experience administering enterprise backup, recovery, disaster-recovery, or data-protection platforms in production environments.
Senior-level troubleshooting across backup software, virtualization, storage, networking, OS, and infrastructure services.
Ability to lead complex technical incidents and escalations through resolution.
Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter or comparable enterprise virtualization platforms.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, routing, VPN/IPsec, DNS, certificates, authentication, and secure remote administration.
Ability to document implementation, change, troubleshooting, recovery, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead onboarding and implementation of APS backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery services.
Translate customer requirements into executable implementation plans and handoffs.
Lead deployment, configuration, testing, and acceptance of APS-managed appliances and connectivity.
Coordinate dependencies across customer teams, APS, security, vendors, and datacenter resources.
Validate backup protection, retention, recovery, replication, connectivity, monitoring, and readiness before activation.
Maintain accurate implementation, asset, configuration, and handoff records.
