Job summary

Vast is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in Long Beach to design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure. You will work on cloud-first architectures (AWS) and modern tooling, writing IaC and automation to improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

You will lead infrastructure projects, coordinate tasks, and support critical mission milestones while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong cloud, IaC, and security experience are required for this exempt, full-time role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, deploying, and managing enterprise IT infra.
• Proficiency with public cloud systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, GitOps, Ansible, Puppet).
• Broad IT expertise integrating networking, security, DevOps, and software.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure AWS/Linux/Windows infra.
• Write infrastructure as code and automations for reliability.
• Act as technical lead for infra projects, define roadmaps and milestones.
• Provide rapid support and root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
