Job summary

US AI, a forward‑thinking digital transformation company in North Bethesda, seeks a Senior System Engineer to support IT Infrastructure and cloud operations. You will design, implement, and maintain infrastructure, automate release processes, and advance security and IaC practices across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

The role requires at least 10 years in SDLC, 4+ years full‑stack TS experience, and strong DevOps expertise.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GCP GKE) optional
• Working knowledge of CI/CD frameworks (JFrog, GitLab)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python)
• Experience with network technologies (Fortinet, Palo Alto)
• Fundamental knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Extensive Linux/Unix system administration experience
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) for high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate and improve release processes.
• Maintain and improve configuration management practices.
• Develop and implement IaC using Terraform.
• Support version control management (Git).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments.
• Ensure system security through monitoring, patching, and best practices.
• Document processes and maintain configuration records.
