Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to safeguard networks and systems to the highest standards, ensuring data security, integrity, and confidentiality. The role requires guiding IA programs, risk management, and C&A support across enclave-based environments.

You will analyze architectures, develop security plans, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain ATO readiness, while leading security assessments and implementing STIG compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• Experience loading artifacts such as STIG checklists and ACAS scans.
• Experience helping to implement STIG checklists and mitigate scan findings.
• Experience supporting security assessment events and responding to questions from PAT team, ISSMs, and SCA.
• Experience working with application leads, sysadmins, DBAs, developers, and testers to ensure systems are security compliant and achieve/maintain ATO.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and integrates IA and security systems across multiple enclaves.
• Assesses architecture and system functionality across technologies.
• Prepares technical reports and briefings on security posture.
• Performs risk management and information assurance activities throughout program life cycle.
• Conducts and reviews security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Supports building security architectures and trusted relationships with external systems.
