Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to safeguard networks and systems to the highest standards. The role emphasizes IS security, risk management, and enterprise protection across multiple enclaves.

You will lead security assessments, implement STIG/ACAS processes, and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure ATO readiness and compliant architectures. Onsite in Virginia with a focus on defense-related information systems.

Qualifications

• Experience loading artifacts such as STIG checklists and ACAS scans.
• Experience implementing STIG checklists and mitigating scan findings.
• Experience supporting security assessment events and responding to questions from PAT team, ISSMs, and SCA.
• Experience coordinating with application leads, sysadmins, DBAs, developers, and testers to achieve security compliance and ATO.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, implements and/or integrates IA and security systems for multiple enclaves.
• Analyses architecture and system functionality across technologies.
• Contributes to the development and evaluation of attack scenarios.
• Prepares and delivers technical reports and briefings.
• Balances Risk Management Framework processes on program systems/networks.
• Performs security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation.
• Validates system security requirements and designs.
• Assists with securing enterprise applications and trusted relationships.
• Loads and mitigates STIGs and ACAS findings.
• Supports security assessment events and responds to inquiries from PAT team, ISSMs, and SCA.
