Job summary

Base-2 Solutions in Reston, VA, seeks a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and secure complex CI/CD pipelines for classified mission environments. On-site role requires Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph and deep AWS, IaC, and security expertise.

You will mentor engineers, lead STIG compliance efforts, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver resilient, secure software delivery across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
• 10+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role across the SDLC.
• Experience delivering DevSecOps services across multiple classified domains.
• Strong experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible.
• Scripting in Python and Bash on Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux).
• Experience with AWS capabilities (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and secure cloud architecture.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated solutions across multiple classification environments.
• Work independently and as part of a team to address complex requirements.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins with security scanning and STIG validation.
• Provide guidance on pipeline troubleshooting and DevSecOps best practices.
• Create and maintain IaC templates (CloudFormation) for AWS Gov environments.
• Ensure STIG compliance and mentor on IaC best practices.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting with Linux tooling and logs.
• Conduct root cause analysis and mitigation for service degradation.
• Provide security guidance on secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain technical docs and promote best practices.
