Job summary

Dev Technology Group in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Senior Information Security Specialist to lead a mid-sized ISSO team and drive RMF/ATO activities for AWS-based systems. The role blends hands-on security with people leadership across government stakeholders and development teams.

You will mentor ISSOs, oversee vulnerability management, and translate federal requirements into actionable guidance for technical staff during the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience securing federal information systems.
• Leading and mentoring information security professionals.
• Experience in a federal government client environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ISSOs with direction and accountability.
• Oversee RMF, ATO, security authorization, compliance, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, developers, and engineers to maintain authorizations.
• Develop and translate security controls aligned with NIST RMF, FISMA, and 800-53.
• Prepare SSPs, ISAs, audit artifacts, and RMF documentation.
• Provide security guidance for AWS-hosted applications in the SDLC.
• Lead vulnerability remediation prioritization and tracking until resolution.
• Support security audits and compliance reviews for federal systems.
