Job summary

At U.S. Bank, the Corporate Audit Services Senior Audit Project Manager leads audit engagements and coaches staff to ensure high‑quality, risk‑focused results aligned with IIA standards.

You will plan, execute, review work, and collaborate across three lines of defense to drive timely, well‑supported findings. The role requires 10+ years of experience in audit or risk, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong project management, cybersecurity, and data analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience.
• Preferred: tech cybersecurity or engineering background and professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIA, AWS/Azure) or advanced degree.
• Strong project management and execution skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of Agile/DevSecOps and IT frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, NIST, FEDRAMP, PCI-DSS, AGILE, AWS Well-Architected).
• Hands-on cybersecurity domain experience (API, Secure Cloud, encryption, vulnerability management).
• Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to work under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and execute audit engagements, or supervise audit staff, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality audit results.
• Review audit work for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to policies and standards.
• Evaluate issues to identify risk exposures and develop remediation actions.
• Plan engagements by documenting processes, identifying risks and controls, and developing audit programs.
• Support reporting and wrap-up activities, including issue disposition and audit reports.
• Monitor progress against plan and address delivery risks; perform on-the-job coaching.
• Collaborate across three lines of defense for coordinated, risk-focused audit coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
