Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Corporate Audit Services Senior Audit Project Manager (SAPM) to lead audit engagements with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to standards. The role entails coaching teams, planning audits, and coordinating across defense lines to cover credit-related activities.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience and relevant certifications; a technology/security focus and strong communication are essential. Banking environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience.
• Professional certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Administrator) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and execute audit engagements, or supervise audit staff when applicable, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality audit results.
• Review and assess audit work for accuracy, completeness, relevance, and adherence to policies and standards.
• Evaluate audit issues to identify risk exposures and actionable mitigation plans.
• Plan audits by documenting processes, identifying risks, and developing audit programs.
• Monitor engagement progress and ensure timely workpaper reviews.
• Provide coaching to audit staff on execution quality and security domain applications.
• Collaborate across defense lines for coordinated audit coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
