Job summary

FHLBank Topeka is seeking an experienced cybersecurity architect to strengthen our security posture across hybrid environments. You will design secure architectures, advise leadership on risk, and serve as a subject matter expert across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include implementing secure systems, leading vulnerability management, guiding junior staff, and delivering security training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Eight to ten years of information security or related experience.
• CISSP certification preferred.
• CCSP or equivalent cloud security certification.
• SABSA SCF or equivalent preferred.
• Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of secure networking concepts (Zero Trust, segmentation, SD-WAN).
• Experience with security devices and procedures in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure, scalable systems using industry frameworks.
• Support and evolve the Bank’s information security strategy.
• Design and deploy solutions across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Lead secure enablement of enterprise AI security systems and integrations.
• Design and implement security controls for AI tools.
• Operate and mature vulnerability management processes.
• Monitor and investigate security events and incidents.
• Provide advanced technical support and guide junior staff.
• Advise leaders on cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies.
• Deliver security training and awareness.
