Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka is seeking an experienced cybersecurity architect to strengthen the bank's posture across hybrid environments by designing and implementing secure architectures and advising leaders on risk.

The role requires deep knowledge of security architecture frameworks, cloud security, regulatory compliance, and risk management, with a focus on secure AI enablement and incident response support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Eight to ten years of information security or closely-related professional experience.
• CISSP certification preferred.
• CCSP or equivalent cloud security certification.
• SABSA SCF or equivalent preferred.
• Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent certification preferred.
• Advanced understanding of secure networking concepts (e.g., Zero Trust, segmentation, SD-WAN).
• Working knowledge of industry standards regarding security devices and procedures.
• Experience working in a highly-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and integrate secure, scalable systems using industry frameworks.
• Support and evolve the Bank’s information security strategy.
• Architect, design and deploy solutions across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Lead the secure enablement of enterprise AI security systems and integrations.
• Design and implement security controls for AI tools.
• Operate and mature vulnerability management processes.
• Monitor and investigate security events and incidents.
• Provide advanced technical support and guide junior staff.
• Advise leaders on cybersecurity risks and mitigation strategies.
• Deliver security training and awareness.
